Yes, very important point there. Yzerman also put a lot of stock into NHL combinations when crafting the 2010 roster. We saw Perry/Getz, Marleau/Thornton/Heatley, Keith/Seabrook...

The fact that fans from around the league have come into this thread and said nothing but great things about St. Louis speaks volumes about him as a player, but also as a person. Phenomenal.

i've always loved Marty, utmost respect for the guy and i think he should definitely make Team Canada.
I've been in his corner pretty much every year leading up to it, and im SOOO glad he put on a shot this past year, and hopefullyu will continue to in the 13/14 season.
The lack of natural winers, hell even natural left wingers on Canada is even more reason he should be on
I think having Stevie Y running things would help his cause, but honestly, there's no reason he shouldn't be on Team Canada unless for some reason he bombs at the start of the 13/14 season
this Team Canada is lacking that whily(sp?) old vet who can lead by example. 2010 it was Boyle, Nieds, Brodeur, Pronger. 2014? Nobody.
ALSO: Him and Stamkos clearly have chemistry together, and that is one thing they NEED to take into account

f he does make the team he also has my vote for an A for sure. Crosby will get the C cause he's Crosby, i expect them to give 4 A's out to Toews, Weber, St. Louis & Keith.

I would still put St-Louis Captain prior of Crosby. He has the maturity and experience that Crosby still doesn't have

exactly. and thats key...why try to create chemistry by whipping random lines together and seeing how it works when you can bring it in knowing it works and just let them play their game, and it will work out fine, great point iggy

also, if the C is voted by players i think he has a great chance...winning lady bynge so many times it is clear he is one of the most if not the most liked player amungst players and respected...plus over crosby can provide a veteren respected voice, a super nice guy, and a fantastic leader..

The chemistry is critical when the players have so little time to develop it. St Louis definitely should be on the team.
